Premiere: 'Go To Find A Dub' (Actual Dub Mix)
La Bestiole Records has a penchant for dance floor obscurities and their latest pressing, ‘ΒΕΣΤ004’, is a continuation of this trend. With the A1 being a contribution from Parisian label honcho, Baerlz, the record is largely a B2B EP, the remaining three of the four tracks are various reworks of ‘Go To Find A Dub’, the product of two Melbournian DJ’s, DJ Pulp Free and DJ Tiny Ramekin, the latter of which is better known as Daydreams’ Maxwell S.
The A2 cut, the actual dub mix of the ‘Go To Find A Dub’ varieties is a left-field, discombobulating disco edit, with a chugging baseline which clearly has the bewildered Gaso Sunday punters in mind. While the song is driven by the percussion of the bongo and kicks, the track itself is dominated by trill, warbling synth lines which make it a 5 minute wormhole of disco disorientation - a cut for the dance floor freaks.
