melt vol. 6 - Common Romance, RBI, Kayroy + more

Price: $10
Venue: The Gaso Upstairs
Time: 9 - 3AM

Relatively new faces to the Melbourne music scene, Melt (no relation to the popular German festival) have put together some very strong lineups at their events, focusing on the visual components of the night just as much as the musical. Taking over the Gaso’ upstairs, they’ve compiled an incredibly strong line up of producers, DJ’s, visual composers and installations

Bizarro + Chaos In the CBD

Venue: The Night Cat
Time: 10-3
Price: Tixel or $40 on the door

The other week I watched Chaos In The CBD, live streamed from Barcelona, it was quite possibly one of the best Boiler Rooms I’ve listened to this year. Playing doors ’til stumps, I’m anticipating a really big effort from the Kiwi duo, expect hard house, acid breaks and 5 hours of untainted whoppers.

Venue: Guerns
Time: 10-5AM
Price: $10 after 11

Heavy on the locals this Thursday at Guerns with sets from Melbourne staples Toni Yotzi, Figaro favourites Loure, Guerns residents Quantum Mechanics and more. With free entry before 11 and $10 after, for those who might be pinching this pennies over the long weekend this could be a good one for you.

Dancing Therapy: Kiwi Connection

Venue: BONEY
Time: 11PM - v late
Price: 10-ish probably

Can we call them BONEY residents yet?!?!? Party starters, Dancing Therapy feature in the forecast again this time for their latest endeavorer which sees the duo joined by a line up of New Zealand’s finest - are there any DJ’s left in NZ this weekend? Our pick for the weekend and a great chance to catch Vanessa Worm before her sets at Meredith and Animals Dancing NYD later in the year.

Premiere: 'Sweet Kisses' - Adonidia
